You may have noticed that there hasn’t been much activity on the Pixelpost development front, but looks can be deceiving. Behind the scenes we’ve been working on some brand new exciting code, which will eventually become Pixelpost 2.0.
With this version, our goal is to make it faster, simpler, and easier to use than our previous versions. And we’re doing that by removing all non-essential elements, and making them optional plugins. And that’s where you come in, after all, we’re doing all this work for all of you!
Here is the question: What are the most important things you’d need Pixelpost to have built-in, and what things would you like to see as optional plugins?
Comments? Tags? Multilingual? EXIF?
Let us know in the comments!
You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0 feed. Trackback from your own site.
built-in: multilingual, category, tags (essential)
plugins: rss, stats, exif, comments (things that could be improved by plugins, some people could create different comments systems …)
I think that with 2.0 release you should really consider implementing SEO friendly links. If you need inspiration please take a look at wordpress implementation and integration of this feature.
Tags, categories & EXIF at least.
@jaroslav
Don’t worry, clean URLs are already baked into the code.
Oh, it is so great to hear that the next update is going to ship with clean URLs. I was always frightened that I would need to get my hands back on the code with any update. I will sleep better now.
Besides from that I’d say categories, rss, ping, tags and and comments should be built in, these are essential for getting started. Cropping of images and thumbnails would be great, too.
On the other side I don’t see a reason to leave features out as long as their builtin functions can be overridden by plugins.
xml-rpc interface! I want to upload from F-Spot!
Video – for Time Lapse
* Google-style sitemap-friendly or sitemap-building capability (to build index of valid picture links, category links, tag links, etc. for search engine digestion.) != RSS/Atom
* Statistics (# visitors, top pictures, top categories, etc.) broken down by day, week, month, year
* Better integrated x=promote capabilities. I can’t seem to get it to work.
* Better, complete, flexible EXIF interpretation and presentation.
* Keep up the great work, you’ve got a great product!
@speedeep: the exif routine has been completely rewritten and will support embedded XMP among others. So all the stuff you see in Lightroom will be right there in Pixelpost.
Hello Jay,
great news! In my opinion to keep it as simple as possible it should include SEO – friendly links and multi language. Everything else(RSS, ATOM, XMLRPC, categories, tags, EXIF, comments) can be optional. This might be some kind of rude, but I think a kind of a good API would leverage all these features.
Thanks and kind regards,
Sebastian
I think it’s important to make a upertunity for import from wordpress and other blog system. Today there is not any addons that will do that jobb. Worpress have a this included this function in their blog.
It’s complicated for me to do this job, and this stops me from “converting” my wordpress blog til pixelpost.
Hello Jay,
I would like to see these functions in the coming PP2.0
1- The ability to add a photo description for each photo.
2- Adding panorama future for panoramic photos.
Thanks for this great effort,
Ahmed
Hello, first great news. What i would like would be an build-in editor. for editing the static pages. and the possibility to delete more then one picture with one click
thanks for the great job you do …
kind regards Oliver
I just want a plugin so i can export my photos from iPhoto to Pixelpost.
I would tend to say that you should keep everything in PP, as i use a lot of plugins and hacks to satisfy my needs. But as alfonso wrote, these would benefit from being plugins as they could be updated and upgraded seperately. Modularity in PP has never been a problem imo.
Though, i would like to have a serious rich text editor such as wordpress’, ability to upload different type of medias, simplification of the template building systeme (even if it’s already working great), SEO, statistics, interactions with flickr through the api, …
Keep the good work, PP is the best tool available for photoblogging.
Most important things to my blog are – spam filters, image info (EXIF data – all of it), most popular images/comments, categories and tags. Thanks for all the great work!
A new version of pixpel post? great news! (now i must improve my photography)
I’d like a ratings built-in system and multigalery sites with a single pixelpost installation in addition to categories and tags features.
I’d like efix to be an optional feature… my camera isn’t so good and i use automatic mode most of the time!
import – export, integration with wordpress, joomla or drupal, and creative commons publishing license could be nice features too.
Thanks for your work in this great picture sharing software.
I’d love to see an API compatibility interface so that apps like the LR2/Blog plugin for Lightroom can export images directly to Pixelpost.
Required: exif, tags, categories
Everything else is optional
Any ideas on when this is going to be released?
Hey, really great news! I think, SEO friendly links, multi language, RSS, ATOM, categories, tags, EXIF and comments should be build in. Most of peple use it. For everybody, who don’t use miscellaneous stuff, maybe it would be nice to prepare an option to turn some things off.
[...] wieder eine gute Nachricht im Blogsoftwarebereich! Pixelpost stellt die Version 2.0 in Aussicht. Im Blog von Pixelpost heißt es: With this version, our goal is to make it faster, simpler, and easier to use than [...]
And also, better tag support. I want to be able to keep spaces by doing quotes like “this tag” instead of this_tag
Hello there,
As you are asking:
I would love the uploading of the images to be easier and the file-storage on the server more logically.
Here’s the thing:
I love the other solution zenphoto for it’s easy uploading via FTP which then automatically creates an album. Boom, done. Also, the photos _stay_
in the respective directory. (More or less, as the thumbnails are created each time you visit the site. Unless you use the caching-plugin. THIS is what I don’t like about zenphoto as it makes it slow especially on slow servers.)
In pixelpost, only via a plugin you can upload more than one image at a time. (Correct me, if I’m wrong.)
For that, the photos have to be copied to a directory, only to be then copied from the program into the main image folder (with the images being renamed). Why?
This creates one really big image folder with _all_ the site’s images. And makes it a hassle if you want to reorder some of them.
I really love the design of pp, much more than that of zenphoto.
But the file-handling, in my opinion, is horrible.
Just my thoughts.
Greetings,
Jay
Here is my wish list:
- SEO Friendly links
- More statistics (visits, preferred images / stories, etc)
- A customizable “Contact Us” page that works out of the box
- The ability to add a photo description for each photo (agree with Ahmed Aloub). I would like to be able to add a short story to each image.
- The ability to add a description / text / article to each category and then be able to switch to the Pixelpost slide show (a la New-York Times: Full article + slide show / gallery. It’s fine if I have to set up new category for each one of my stories, as long as my readers are able to easily switch from my article to the slide show.
- A customizable home page (with CMS capabilities) that can list the introduction of my .. say 10 stories / articles along with links to my slide shows.
- Make the categories self-contained by not allowing the visitors to access category B’s pictures while browsing category A.
I’ve used Pixelpost for a year or two, a while ago, and would like to use it again if I these features are available.
Thanks for everything you do.
Okay, first of all…
Thnx for everything you do,
What i would like in a new Pixelpost.
- good Exif
- google maps / GPS
- good statistics (something like Roll-n-stats)
- panorama photo would be nice
at the moment Microsoft has a new free programm which has the option to save as a “deep zoom” with silverlight. http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/groups/ivm/ICE/
- built in MediaRSS support (www.cooliris.com)
- a CMS option to change “about section” etc would be great
Thnx keep up the great work
Just started working with Pixel Post and I can’t seem to find a way to do the following:
1. FTP photos to folders on the site
2. Reorder the photos
I usually use NexGen gallery in Wordpress, but this site does not need a blog, so I am trying out a stand alone photo manager.
Let me know if these features exist.
Thanks,
Victoria
First off, thanks for your work on what will be an exciting release.
Beyond what is already confirmed to be in PP2, I would love 2 things:
1. The ability to post flash files. I shoot both timelapse and *huge* panoramas (display with Photoshop Zoomify), and putting them up in PP would be great.
2. Ability to embed in Joomla. PP is just a part of my larger site, and it would be wonderful to be able to directly use it inside Joomla as a plugin, for example, to JFusion. Porting my Joomla template to PP isn’t a huge deal, but having it all under one umbrella would be solid.
Thanks for your hard work!
TAGS – would like to have multiple words for one tag without having to using an underline nor dash.
I just recently installed Pixelpost. I’m migrating to PP because the software I currently use (OneReaction) is not being upgraded anymore and has no support. PP is great… and I’m looking forward to 2.0! Couple things I miss from my old software are listed below. Not in order of importance:
1. Admin section to modify info on About Page.
2. Watermark text option for each entry.
3. Input variable of the photographer name to be used for watermark, copyright, about, etc.
4. Ablum view/Gallery Mode optional.
5. Page View Stats
6. Optional Contact Page
7. Multi-word tags w/o dash or underscore
8. SEO Friendly links
The ‘can’t live without’ functions are comments, EXIF, and categories.
I’ve also noticed that some of the addons and templates require more than just an ‘average user’ to get up and running. The easier it is to install addons and templates the better. Wordpress admin makes it easy if your looking for a good example.
Thanks for the great work you’re doing. Can’t wait to see 2.0!
I think most everyone on the required side has it covered. I think reiterating the support for an xml-rpc API and general api support for typica photographic workflows would be my must have. support for:
PS Elements, LR, MS Photo Gallery
I think you would find more adoption if you make the workflow integration easier for both amatuer and professionals.
One other (and maybe this is there and I just don’t know it) is the ability to have single day vs. multiple day layouts on a single page.
looking forward to 2.0
I’ll put a vote in for Bibble Pro (bibblelabs.com) raw photo workflow integration as well.
Hey, I think that multiple images is important. And a way to easily organize photos. Like having a page of all the thumbnails (like the archive page) and being able to click on one and edit the name, description, ect… Also being able to select several photos to edit them as a batch, adding tags and categories.
Maybe some kind of subcategories (or some way to simulate them)… and implemented replyable comments would be great. And all those things which are in PP now, of course
Multiple Image is the most important for me.
Maybe a “Lightroom 2 Pixelpost Export” plugin
Thank you for your great work.
Come on Pixelpost !
EXIF and comments would be awesome – as plugins, probably, but awesome nonetheless.
I also must complement you (everyone) who has worked so hard on this wonderful software and the awesome templates.
I just read every suggestion and was a little surprised to see that only one other person besides myself wants true Category functionality. I’m not referring to the current “Browse” function where you can filter thumbnails. I’m talking about a Category menu on the index page that makes the slide show (and resulting thumbnail navigation for templates that use it) only display images from that category. I want viewers who are only interested in viewing my macro photography to be able to see only “macro photography”, and grandma to be able to see only “family”, she’s not interested in seeing my pictures of bugs magnified 100X. Thanks again for all the effort and for making it an open source project. Open source rules!
It is quite interesting to read some of your comments. (And advance feature requests) How many of you have actually read Jays question?
Okay the way I read it, is that PP2 is going to be a very modular system and Jay is interested in knowing which features is a necessity for you to be able to make good templates, and other important plug-ins. He is not asking about whether EXIF should be possible or not. Only about if it is needed in the core, or it can be added as module (eventually present and active in the out-of-the-box setup.) Correct me if I’m wrong.
From my point of view, is it important that the backend is well done. That meaning, upload of pictures, tags, categories, statistics and all the management stuff. Furthermore is a good API important for the further development of plug-ins.
For me missing core features:
-Tags which are not space separated.
-Server site scaling of pictures. I would like to upload high resolutions pictures, and then make the server scaling them for the template. In that way Lightbox or similar could actually be much easier to implement and show pictures of good quality.
-Multilingual would be a bad feature to add as a plug-in
-Visitor Statistics.
-Categories like Rick P suggested.
What easy could be as plug-ins:
-EXIF presentation
-Comments
To Thomas: There already exist a LR PixelPost Export plugin for LR. It works like a dream.
Keep up the great work, PP is a great product!
John & Thomas were mentioning LR and LR/2 plugins. In fact, they are already available and work great. Nevertheless, having such a plugin integrated in the Pixelpost core package would be appreciated. Thus, it could be ensured that the plugin is always up-to-date according to the latest Pixelpost software. Having it up-to-date as an external plug-in (as it is today) would also be great).
The real category support as pointed out by Rick and Rasmus is definitely soomething I am waiting for since a long time. Yes, yes, yes, please consider it for v2.
Moreover, tags, comments, categories, multi language support and Exifs is to be expected (at least from my side) as mandatory features. Same for an info / about page as it already exists. An option for adding more individual content pages would be great.
And last but not least: Yes, some visitor statistics would be nice.
Auto installation of addons and themes. Take a look at how Joomla handles components, modules and mambots.
All core features need to toggle-able, on or off, at a minimum
I have to say I´m very satisfied with ver. 1.7. it is very well done and running excellent!
From my point of view just a big issue is a mishmash between index.php, the “leatest submit” and the “yeasterday submit”. Because links change after another pic is uploaded and search robots have quite problem with it. Maybe you count with it with frendly url point.
Many thanks!
Dr.
BUILT-IN: Multiple photos in one entry (This is my only complaint with the current pixelpost and the only reason I would consider switching to something else). Really hope this makes it in the next update.
this might only be me.. never the less..
maybe it’s possible to support pgsql besides mysql as db backend. as i’m running all my stuff on it except pixelpost
further it’d be great to get the ability to directly answer to comments (like the plugin of, i think, austriaka does).
including the option to inform the according person per mail.
finally KISS i like the way pp works atm, focused on the purpose of posting pictures everyday =)
thx2devs4ppv2!
Please, add the OpenID support to your software. Either built-in or as an extenssion.
I would like to see a cache plugin similar to wordpress WP Supercache. Pages load very slow especially in India where download speed is abysymally low.
Have a look at the CMS concrete5. The API is very designer/owner friendly and allows for building templates that the end-user can control content.
I’d like to see a PP2 version that allows for multiple user accounts. As a photographer, I’d like to be able to give my customers their own page and a admin access. I’d like the ability to choose admin levels. From this, we can allow templates that build upon unlimited variables and let the end user manage via tinymce, etc.
For example, like myspace, facebook…they can add text, paypal buttons, control slideshows, etc. Make it more social media friendly.
My clients end up with a portfolio all their own that they can customize (while I control what is customizable). I can then integrate shopping into the mix too.
To clarify, in a nutshell…I didn’t mean add all that stuff but allow for it to be added via custom variables like concrete5.
-Multiple User Accounts – Ability to choose access levels like 0-9 for each admin page/item and assign names to 0-9 variables (i.e. Master Admin, Designer, Owner, Basic User)
-Custom Variables – Each time you add a custom variable in a template, it can be edited via tinymce/other in admin. Tinymce can further be configured via admin levels for what content is allowable as well as what custom variables each user has access to.
These 2 elements would add a lot of power to PP!
CMS (Wordpress light, adding Newssite, Contactpage…), EXIF, Categories, Tags, more good themes
Hi there!
1. really important thing is to greate buy (paypal,google check out) page (including tagslike : BUY_ITEM_NUMBER, BUY_PRODUCT_PRICE, BUY_PRODUCT_COUNT, ADDED_ITEM, REMOVE_ITEM, VIEW_SHOPPING_LIST etc )
2. Report these purchased items to admins email.
……
You guys know very well what i’m talking about.
Thank you PP teams
When can we expect 2.0 ? Please ….
Required: import exif and IPTC (make them searchable), nested categories (sub categories)
I think v2.0 should be add an online template edit function in the admin page. Because many PP user maybe don’t know how to create or edit a template (including writing CSS code)in the Dreamweaver and so on…
1. Ability to do quick edits, AJAX style, via pop-ups from the front end interface (template) after the user logs into the back-end as admin, something like zenphoto.
2. A cleaner, nicer back-end
3. Ability to re-order thumbs in the desired position by dragging them, like in the zenphoto admin sort images option, except images should be draggable in the browse view in the front end. A jQuery plugin would allow to do this.
For starters, I love the idea of stripping the PP core to the bare minimum and adding anything else as option extras/addons. And it would be nice to somehow to able to automatically see updates to PP and addons right in the ADMIN pages, with links to the download site.
1. New image uploads should look at EXIF/IPTC title and caption and auto fill in image title and image description in pixelpost. Similar process to uploading on flickr.
2. EXIF/IPTC separated as addon, stored in DB not as serialized PHP object, but stored so one could browse by EXIF info.. like categories or tags, but with EXIF data. +1 on searchability also.
3. Tags and IPTC keywords should hook up during image upload. All IPTC keywords embedded in the image should be parsed out and auto filled as tags. If things like Categories, Tags, etc are separate addons, they also need the ability to hook into the image upload process.
4. Comments as an addon. Customizable comment display format, cleaner ADMIN pages for comments (and cleaner defensio integration)
5. PHP:htmlentities() should be used in comments, exif, iptc, titles, description, categories, tags, etc. Necessary for strict XHTML1.1 pages and just better HTML practices in general.
6. Ability for template files to be PHP files instead of HTML files. Allows for much richer templates. image_template.html, could just as easily be image_template.php and allow for PHP code within templates.
6. Use PHP constants and PHP shorthand instead of millions of str_replace()s for TEMPLATE_TAGS. For example, instead of using “” in template file, use where IMAGE_TITLE is a defined() PHP constant. More efficient, faster, etc. Even better yet, just use the PHP shorthand as a template tag, so you can call functions and only execute the needed tags once and give the ability to easily specify parameters to template tags. Examples, or . Its a little more complex/confusing than straight text tags, but offers much much greater flexibility. Maybe prefix all template tag functions and constants with a PPTT_ or something like that.
Sorry for such a long post.
None of my PHP tags got displayed.. I try #6 again, but if they don’t show, just contact me if you have any questions about what I am talking about..
6. Use PHP constants and PHP shorthand instead of millions of str_replace()s for TEMPLATE_TAGS. For example, instead of using “<IMAGE_TITLE>” in template file, use <?=IMAGE_TITLE?> where IMAGE_TITLE is a defined() PHP constant. More efficient, faster, etc. Even better yet, just use the PHP shorthand as a template tag, so you can call functions and only execute the needed tags once and give the ability to easily specify parameters to template tags. Examples, <?=PPTT_BROWSE_CATEGORIES()?> or <?=PPTT_SITELINK(‘about’, ’second arg’)?>. Its a little more complex/confusing than straight text tags, but offers much much greater flexibility. Maybe prefix all template tag functions and constants with a PPTT_ or something like that.
@Joe Roback
Thank you very much for your comments, I think we are both on the same page, so to speak. Just about everything you mentioned is how v2 is currently planned out.
If you have any other ideas or suggestions, please do share!
Good to hear about the new release of PP with so many promising improvements! Is there a approx. timeframe for the release of PP2.0?
Having the following by default would be wonderful:- read/display EXIF
- get Geo info – and show on map automatically
- default CAPTCHA
- stats
- tag cloud
- slideshow (+ a HTML snippet that can embed the slideshow elsewhere)
and lost of other small things, which everyone uses.
But more than anything, I would like to congratulate you guys for keeping it going.. and working so hard on pixelpost, although there is no commercial benefit from it. For a while I wondered if the team has abandoned pixelpost.. glad to see you all back.
Can’t wait to see v2.0
Most important.. Mass upload of pictures. When I need to upload an album of pictures i have to click 50 times!!
It will be a good idea if pixelpost implement better template system like Smarty Template Engine.
@Ruud – you can already do mass upload using the Copy Folder addon
Looking forward to coding addons for PP2.0.
Keep up the great work guys, your efforts are very much appreciated.
Please, add the OpenID support to your software. Either built-in or as an extenssion.
The biggest thing that is missing from the current version for me, is the ability to switch images on and off from the published gallery, while still having it in the admin panel with it’s origional post date and link. This would allow me to upload all my photographs, but then over time, remove older ones, but still be able to link to them from my site.
Other than than, I think everything is spot on so far, so anything new is just a bonus for me.
xml-rpc!! I really want to be able to post from my iPhone.
A built-in interface to edit the content of “about” page, or even beter, to edit the template from the admin interface !
Apart from this, current features are fine. Stick to open source solutions !
Keep doing a great work !
The ability to have multiple images on one page/day.
The ability to delete all detected spam in one click.
1. Exif
2. Tags
3. Comments
4. Multiple file upload
- generally clean URLs for SEO.
- ability to create sub-categories.
Category functionality as mentioned by Rick P.
This functionality will make fusion of Photoblog & Photo Gallery. No need to use separate Gallery software to show Portfolio.
-’configurable’ widgets (see wordpress) like links, last comments
-multiple-images per post feature
-multiple-posts per page (i.e you click on particular tag and and will have all images (posts) with that tag displayed (blog alike ine the list or gallery alike (mentioned by Rick P.)
-basic template editor (colors, fonts, widgets)
i have made a few future post plugin and would like that feature simply built in.
Ill upload 100 or so images do all my business and let the go one day at a time.
The twist i would like to see is that the future images are more of a Que, so if i upload an image manually it simply bumps the other qued images down.
I would also really like to see TidyURLS
Better UI for taking multiple images. something like select multiple images tag them save and move on.
I would like to see enhanced functionality for Search Engine Optimization. To me, that is essential. I’ve often thought about migrating over to Wordpress becuase of this!
Also, a decent import/export function would be more than valuable to give democratic voice to people who feel trapped because they can’t migrate their blogs if they choose to. I’d feel more inclined to use pixelpost instead of fear for the future of my blog knowing that there was a way out if I ever wanted to migrate!!!
Make the new version have an installer that works.
Absolutely, as built-in or as a plugin, the possibility to IMPORT from Wordpress. Over than me, I know that there’s a lot of photoblogs stuck with Wordpress / YAPB that would migrate to PP tomorrow if there could be a tool which can import comments and so on…
great article dude, saw something about it on tv last night, keep up the good work, check my site out about Cooliris at all feedback good or bad appreciated!,
-add/manage misc pages through admin interface
-reorder images by dragging
PP is amazing, btw.
- Real template system
- SEO friendly
- Customizable permalinks
- Get rid of for plugins and everything, I’d like to use PP variables or my own php code.
- SVN!!! PLEASE!
- Settings to change the front page. Like Category view/single image/page
- Albums. And please would love to be able to nest them ;3
- Multiple and customizable RSS
Will I be able to upgrade 1.7 PixelPost to new 2.0 release?
@Eugene
There will be an upgrade path for the older versions. You won’t have to re-post any of your photos.
One of the most important features in my opinion is PP to be Multilingual and also supporting Right-to-Left languages such as Arabic and Persian.
Pixelpost is really great by the way.
Multi-users. It’s the only reason I’ve been using WP + YAPB for some collective photoblogs.
I would like if the new pixelpost version is working properly on browsing through pictures by category. If one chooses a category like e.g. landscape, there should only be possible to browse all pictures of category landscape. That would be a great benefit!
Thanks for working on pixelpost!
Things I struggled with when implementing pixelpost:
Top of the list was the ability to view by category when you are moving forward/back through photos. Otherwise, why have categories?
I tried a couple plugins and got one to work for the above. However, I had to modify the template and I lost my tag clouds (which worked with another plugin).
Ultimately, relying on plugins to get the features I wanted was a struggle and a give and take as I struggled with conflicts between plugins. I would hope that you don’t leave important features like gallery navigation options in the plugin arena for your future build.
Speaking of navigation, I made my own forward and back links that appear when you hover over a photo but it seems this should be standard as well. Most modern web slide displays have them. Be careful how you implement it – I found the method using background images causes a glitch when the user uploads a photo with a space in the name. You can see my example for method that doesn’t glitch (mostly css) – http://www.drdtravels.com
Thanks for the efforts and generosity of all who have contributed to pixelpost – it works out well for my Dad and his friend who have little tech savvy. The backend is easy for a novice web site owner to use.
Kay
It would be nice to have some basic options about how the slideshow displays (fade in/out being one such option). I built that in to the template I’m using. I’m not very happy with the easing on the fade right now. I think I am going to switch to JQuery Cycle plugin – it is great and has many display options already built in. It would be nice to see the JQuery Cycle plugin utilized in future build of PixelPost.
Now I just have to tear out the MooTools implementation used in my template to animate ’show/hide divs’ and redo those using jQuery so I can switch to JQuery Cycle.
Thanks again for PixelPost!
Maybe fckeditor for comments built in?
I’m sorry fckeditor for photo description not comments.
Ability to designate which page is home page built in to main build.
About page and Contact page, both also with fckeditor (or other wysiwyg editor) and contact page with basic contact form – all part of main build.
@Kay
Thank you very much for your comments. User feedback like this is very helpful for us to make sure these issues aren’t a problem in the future.
For the iPhone app, a very simple way to “check mark” the destination for where a photo/video will be directed to destinations. Sometimes I want to post only to one destination, other times multiple destinations. I know there is a way to do this, but it is ambiguous to me at this point. If I could tap a check mark it would be much quicker and easier.
Also, background uploading would be great. Sometimes on slow connections I have to constantly make sure the iPhone does not go to sleep in the middle of an upload when using a slow wifi connection.
Otherwise, I am very happy to have the PixelPipe App … it really filled a big gap for me!
Best
David
I have implemented the hoo theme to that iPhone users see a phone-friendly version of the site, which is great. But what I would really love to see in Version 2 of PixelPost is the ability to be able to add pics to the blog FROM the iPhone.
BlogPress and WordPress for iPhone v2.0 are both seriously flawed in their usability and functionality and I seriously believe that PixelPost could steal the march on these two by releasing an app that would allow proper iPhone Photoblogging.
Like a lot of others:
- Category Browsing
- Video
- Clean URLs
- Search + Add addons in the admin panel.
- Albums
- Add pages
- Upload multiple images
FANTASTIC WORK GUYS CAN’T WAIT FOR PP2
btw, you should make a list of all suggestions and lets have a voting system in terms of importance. This way we could all see what every one finds important and not go thr 90 posts
A way to post photos from iphone, or email… that is by far my most wanted option. The current add-on to post from email, seems very difficult to implement. and there is now a new program for iphone that has generously been created, it still has a few little issues to work out. But i would love to see native support for this.
Greetings,
Do you a service that does the installation for me?
I used to use Pixelpost previously and miss it bad! It is
by far the best way to showcase your photography…
Thank you,
Jerry Moores
I like to have
+ tags
+ Paypal integration
