Download (12.8 KB)

Developer Description

This is a standalone version of the coverflow browse addon that can be used in any template.

  1. Used with Delicious template: http://pixelpost.kevincrafts.com/index.php?x=browse&newtemplate=delicious_v1_1
  2. Used with Simple template: http://pixelpost.kevincrafts.com/index.php?x=browse&newtemplate=simple

  1. Put coverflow.php and the coverflow directory in your addons folder and activate the addon.
  2. Put the <COVERFLOW> tag on your browse page.
  3. The image size/overall width is based on the with of the div#images element. Give this element a width to restrict how big the images can get and how much space the whole addon will take on the page. On the demo I set the width to be 480px; For example: #images { width:480px; } You may need to make other CSS adjustments to get this to work properly in your template.

Great utility. Thanks. One suggestion. When you select a Category from the dropdown and then try to click through to any of the images in the scroll level, you get an incorrect image id or none at all. The problem is that the queries are appending $row[id]. Once you update to $row[image_id] it works great.

    Cheers and Thanks again!

a great idea for an addon. two issues i have....one being that enlarged thumbnails are pixelated (can be fixed by making thumbnail size bigger), and two it doesn't have that perception of distorted image like in itunes (look at picture link below). might be extremely hard to code though. just shows different sizes as full squares...smaller off the sides and large in the middle. maybe in a future release?
