Wow, I feel dumb with my first install because it is reputedly easy, but . . .

I have my database created and the doc in includes folder modified.

Using smart ftp I have loaded all the pixel post files with this directory structure:

Tellcarlo.com
webjourney
Pixel
addons
admin
images
etc, including thumbnails

I have tried to set the images/thumbnails folders to chmod 777. When I view these folder in the ftp right viewer pane they are set to 777 and all boxes for Owner, Group, and Public have checks for read write and execute.

Finally, however, I cannot upload images. I see this message in the general info section:

Guessed imagepath: d:hostingwebjourney/pixel/images/

Configured Imagepath tellcarlo.com/pixel/images/

Image Directory: Does Not Exist (should be tellcarlo.com/pixel/images) - Thumbnails folder not writable!
You must set correct permissions on this folder or you will not be able to create any thumbnails.
Set the folder to chmod 777 (read, write and execute permissions for owner, group and world).

Thumbnails Directory: Does Not Exist (should be tellcarlo.com/pixel/thumbnails) -

Language Directory: Does Not Exist (should be tellcarlo.com/pixel/language)

Addons Directory: Does Not Exist (should be tellcarlo.com/pixel/addons)

Includes Directory: Does Not Exist (should be tellcarlo.com/pixel/includes)

Templates Directory: Does Not Exist (should be tellcarlo.com/pixel/templates)

I've tried many variations on writing the folder paths--including that folder webjourney, but no dice. It just tells me my folder don't exist.

Thanks in advance for your help. I appreciate it.

that's the problem. But I do not know why, too early for me this morning ...

we had similar problems already, did you search in the forum already?
If not, please register here, than you have the search function available

but I am sure, some advice will be at hand soon here

good luck, Connie

do you have phpmyadmin? you can edit the value for your image path in pixelpost_config table.

Well, I got the recommended program, tweaked the config file, uploaded it, and now when I run it every link leads me to some online magazine subscription! It was actually more sensible before I changed a setting to TRUE as I thought the error message was unecessary.

So now I guess I'm confused about two programs!

Arghhh!

Here's hoping someone can set me straight. I want to get this working.

your url seems to suggest that none of the folders are actually on your server:

The page you tried to access does not exist on this server. This page may not exist due to the following reasons:

1. You are the owner of this web site and you have not uploaded (or incorrectly uploaded) your web site. For information on uploading your web site using FTP client software or web design software, click here for FTP Upload Information.
