Browsing within categories add-on/code

I am wanting to add code to my site so one can stay browsing within a category when browsing from the 'gallery' page.
I do not know what code to use and where to insert it.
I have tried http://www.pixelpost.org/extend/addons/advanced-next/ - but this did not work for me as I don't think I inserted the code exactly where it needed to be - not sure though.
Would appreciate any step-by-step help with this. My site is www.silverdoor.org. Many thanks

Thanks Dennis, I had read and downloaded this earlier, but did not want to change from - or significantly alter - my present template which took me a while to develop. I would like to keep it simple and insert some code into my existing template in the relevant area of the right pages, so I can stay browsing within a category. Any further further advice or suggestions much appreciated.
