I've been uploading pics for a week or so now, but when I tried this morning, I got an error.

I can get to /admin/index.php to enter the data for the new image, but when I try to submit the page, I get a 404 error:

"The requested URL /fotoblog/admin/index.php was not found on this server."

The address bar says: "http://pnjwood.com/fotoblog/admin/index.php?x=save"

Strange, since that was the page being submitted!

have you made any edits to files in the admin folder or includes folder?

Yes, to the index.php file.

BUT uploading a pristine, untouched copy was the first thing I tried.

I have added things to the includes folder (button images), but I haven't taken anything out or edited files.

It's something in my text description. Without it, or with a paragraph totally different, it works. I'm trying to track it down. This is what I was trying to post:

Although this image is of a Navy C-130 at an airshow, it reminds me of playing cat and mouse between a submarine and a Navy P-3 submarine hunter. This is the view we'd see through our periscope when they were practicing visual identification. Of course, some of them weren't very good at it.

“Can you raise another mast? We can’t find you.” So we did.

“Can you raise another mast? We can’t find you.” So we did.

“Can you raise another mast? We can’t find you.” So my skipper said, “I’ll make a deal with you. You don’t ask me to raise another mast, and I won’t ask you to fly with your wings in the water.”

It didn't like the word "cat".

How weird is that???

I changed it to "playing tag" and it works.

this truly is the most bizarre bug to date! i might even add it to the bug list at sourceforge! lol.. glad you worked out what was wrong though...

this could possibly have something to do with categories being saved - but that's just a wild stab in the dark!

Not sure if categories has anything to do with it.

I upload the picture alone, then (through edit) changed the description a bit at a time until I isolated "cat". Nothing else was changed.

Weird. Maybe there are too many cat pictures on the internet.
