How dow pixelpost stack-up against folderblog?
My concern about PP is that I don't want to employ the product and then the site go completely down. Is Pixelpost going to stick around? Will the site come back? Will new versions continue to be released? Am I paranoid?
As far as function/design also, what do you think? Obviously I'm probably going to meet mostly a bias toward PP, but..
Just trying to figure out what I want to use.

pixelpost isnt going anywhere ;)
the next version is still in testing, we're moving to a more open source system...we all work, go to school, and with this on top tend stay pretty darn busy...kinda hard to keep a strict timetable for this stuff between just six of us even...id say once the new site is finished, everything will be a lot more efficient. But at the moment I am in the middle of moving and cannot work on much 'till I can set the ol'desktop backup again
until then...
http://www.pixelpost.org/v1/ for anything else you require, its not up to date though, but has a lot of stuff worth browsing through

I certainly understand multitasking! OK then, good enough for me.
If I put the current version up on my site, will upgrading to the new release be easy?

Pixelpost seems to have more in terms of add-ons and templates, and more people involved in making said features. Also if you look at the timetable for folderblog, it hadn't been updated since April either and only just started up again earlier this month.
Also, it might be worth putting a note on the home page saying if you still want to access the old page it's at http://www.pixelpost.org/v1/. That way newcomers can still access the plugins and templates.

There is an active development team for Pixelpost who also using the script;)
check out
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pixelpost/
They will continue the support and provide upgrade when new version is up. Ask the users about the previous upgrades and how they feel about it. I say it was so smoooth!
If you want to see the latest under develop version contact me.
PP rocks;)
