We are looking for a photoblog script and have a couple of questions.

First of all, is there an ADMIN DEMO?

Second, I heard the pixelpost database is really small. What is its ability to handle large amount of pictures, let's say 5000 pictures? Will the speed suffer?

98 photos, 10500 visitors, 50 comments at mine pblog is 1,9 MB in DB.
1,8 MB are visitors data (maybe there will be plugin clearing some old data) :/

the next version should include an updated visitors section that will make the load a little lighter on the server, but yes...its small and pretty darn fast.

speed is determined by the speed of YOUR database on YOUR server.

pixelpost doesn't have a database as such... it just uses a database.

Thanks for all the feedback. But the speed definitely depends on the script too.

but I have nearly 300 images at www.photografitti.de and it seems to load fast :wink:

yes. pixelpost is designed to be just the bare minimum for most photoblog needs and therefore the script is as small as you'll find.
