Hi All
I have only just downloaded Pixel Post 1.4.2 so I am only at the stage of reading the install 'read me'.
My host Lunarpages has adopted suPHP because of security concerns/issues. Are there any things I need to be aware of installing Pixel Post in that environment?
TIA :)
PS I know I have yet to search deeply here at the forum but if anyone can point to a 'How To' for integrating/embedding Pixel Post into my website table structure that would be appreciated.

I see that the images and thumbnails directories should be chmod'ed to 777.
Will it work set to 755 - I would be concerned about the access/security if set to 777.
TIA :)

Hi Raminia
Re: chmod setting - it is my understanding that 755 is more secure because it limits write access to 'owner'. Why does Pixel Post require 777 ?
Re: version number - oops! a typo I am afraid. I have 1.4.1
I have started another post about my test installation.

- pixelpost needs to read/write/create files this means read/write/execute acess.
- most of the time the user you login in cpanel or ftp is not the same as the user that runs the scripts on your site. the owner would be the former user and the other would be the later user. Thus, you need to set permissions to 777
- it does not have security issue unless you let people upload files to your server or have access to them. In this case, they can do harm but otherwise with normal usage of PP it's safe.
