Two questions,

1. How do I manipulate pixelpost so that people can find my site on search engines?

2. How do I format the images so that they are all the right size (mess up their pixel size and they are too big and cover a massive amount of space which doesn't fit on anyones browser). Is there an auto way of doing it so they are all balanced or do I have to continually change each and every image as I upload it?

Cheers

If you have photoshop CS2 you can do batch operations.
Other versions of photoshop, you can save it as an action and run it.

there is an autoresize addon for PP 1.5, which we are testing now for the next release. But, if you cannot wait you can use this modification:
http://forum.pixelpost.org/showthread.php?t=1464

The modifications needs editing the core files but addons just need to copy the new files into the addons folder.

1) you have templates which generate the HTML-Output of PixelPost
in that templates you have the chance to fill the Meta-Tags (keywords, description) with the dynamic content of your webiste

<meta http-equiv="content-type" name="keywords" content="PhotoBlog,<SITE_TITLE>,<IMAGE_TITLE>,Pixelpost" />
<meta http-equiv="content-type" name="description" content="<SITE_TITLE>-PhotoBlog: <IMAGE_TITLE>, <IMAGE_NOTES_CLEAN>" />

2) there are many programs who do batch processed image manipulation
you even do not need Photoshop, which is "shooting with canons at sparrows"
have a look at IrfanView www.irfanview.com, it is freeware and it has very good batch features, there you can resize the images to the size how they should be at the website

remember: the images at a website should always be in that size which is defined in the HTML-code for that image, in no cases the browser should resize, that is always a loss of quality

http://picasa.google.com/index.html is pretty darn good for non-savvy people who just need something free and simple. I actually use it to FIND photos on my computer...haha
