This addon was tested under PP 1.5 CVS version. That is why I can't guarantee that it works properly under other(lower) PP versions.
It have multiply choice category and image change functionality. You can also sort image list in few ways.

Awesome! I think this option is going to really open up a new avenue of uses for PP. Being able to batch edit categories is something I've wanted for some time...it allows PP to become a Gallery script as well as rocking with Photoblogs. Bravo!

can you help me... i don't understand the intention of this addon, as there is no multiple choice functionality. why should i want change or set a category for consecutive images?

as far as i can see, i can only change categories for consecutive images.
please explain, how the addon works with non consecutive images?

You are write - this addon is for consecutive category edit. If you dont have consecutive set of images you must split it on smaller sets.
It is useful coz you might want to change some consecutive set:
- new camera - you might want to add new category for photos made by it
- new lens - arguments like above
- ...

If you dont like consecutive order what you suggest to chage for??
I dont see better solution then adding something similar to Images section of admin panel and mass editing page by page. For me its (in some situations) much more laborious solution!!

but, sorry... i think, i still haven't got it...

case: i want to change one category to another.
to do so, i need a variable sort order function. e.g. - by categories, not by file names.

a mass (batch) category edit function would necessarily mean to have quite a lot of sort oder variables: date, filename, category, maybe exif data...

i still can't see a reason why i should set or reset a category exclusively for consecutive images?
if i have a new camera, ok., but this seems to be a rare reason for editing categories.

sorry, if i misunderstood or missed something...?

that's a nice improvement, thank you!
but actually i thought of a multiple choice function for images rather than categories.
for example, if one wants to change the category for photo #1, #14, #23, #54, #80 and #91, then he cannot use the addon, because he still can only edit consecutive images, e.g. all photos from photo #1 up to photo #91.
that's why i think it would be nice to have a multiple choice functionality to select images, just similar to the way it works with categories now!
