Thumbnail Scripting Problem

Hi there,
I just want to say thanks to everyone who supports and develops this great interface. I think it is really great, and the amount of excellent photos we are all exposed to is a result of your hard work.

I am very very new and this whole process so bare with me. Here is my problem; I started customizing the simple-template. I have figured most of my hurdles by looking at other templates and searching this forum, but unfortuniately I have run into a snag.

I tried to add thumbnails to my page. I wanted a series of thumbnails at the bottom of the page, which you could scroll through. I looked to add thumbnail_row command, but I just didn't understand where to add it so I tore a piece of another template and managed to get the thumbnails to display at the bottom of the page. I also had to edit the index.php to get them to pop up. The wierd thing is that the thumbnails don't come up on every image page, just every other one! And they don't seem to be limited to the original 5 I had planned. I am totally at a loss, if you guys can take a look I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you for using PP:) I hope you enjoy it.

0) Templates are the place to add PP tags. i.e adding <IMAGE_THUMBNAIL_ROW> to the image_template.html inside the templates/simple directory will do that.

1) to customize PP you don't need to modify index.php. Basically, in rare conditions you need that. You can do these stuff as Addons.

3) the number of thumbs can be set inside admin >> Options >> thumbnails
