Archive filter

Hi,

When I go to my Archive page and select a filter, i.e. Insects, the category properly displays in the results area. However when I click on a image, then click next image, I am no longer viewing the results of the filtered category. I just the next picture I uploaded in the sequence.

Is there a way, themes, coding or addons, that would fix this?
