My site has been working fine for about a month with Pixelpost, but then I visited it yesterday and got "Coming Soon! Nothing to show. No image to show here!"
When I log into my admin, all my images and comments and referrals are still there and fine. The page is located at www.justingaynor.com (http://www.justingaynor.com). Here is the info:
Host Information
PHP-version 4.4.0 (Pixelpost's min requirement: PHP version 4.3.0)
MySQL version 4.1.14 (Pixelpost's min requirement: MySQL 3.23.58)
GD-lib bundled (2.0.28 compatible) with JPEG support
Server software Apache/1.3.33 (Unix) PHP/4.4.0 mod_ssl/2.8.22 OpenSSL/0.9.7e
EXIF Pixelpost is using exifer v1.5 for EXIF information.
Paths
Guessed imagepath: /home/justin/public_html/justingaynor.com/images/
Configured Imagepath /home/justin/public_html/justingaynor.com/images/
Image Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES.
Thumbnails Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES.
Language Directory: OK
Addons Directory: OK
Includes Directory: OK
Templates Directory: OK
ALSO - If I write in the exact address to the image, for example: http://www.justingaynor.com/index.php?showimage=7, It will show the image in the template, but the forward and previous buttons are missing.
Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Now I've added a new picture, and the new image shows up on the index page, but NONE of my other pictures are showing up, and the picture I just added doesn't show up in my admin section?

Justin,
did you use some characters like "&" in a photo title or so?
I validated your template, it's not valid
http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A//www.justingaynor.com/index.php
test it there at validator.w3.org
I know this does not explain your problems, but maybe wrong characters in your photo descriptions etc. broke some database information? I am not sure, because I do not know which Pixelpost version you are using

Thanks for the quick reply, it's version 1.4.2
I know the code isn't valid, but I think this is a database problem unfortunately
If I add new photos, they show up on the site. ALL the old photos still show up in the admin section, but only the ones added today show up on the site.

if something changes suddenly and you did not do anything, then you should ask your hoster
first: you tell me old images are shown in the admin section, is this really true?
please empty the cache of your browser(s) and try again
I am sure you will not see any images anymore
because: if you only see the new image and no old images then the admin section also will not see any old images
as the connection to the database and the tables did not change
did you edit the file pixelpost.php? Or did you overwrite it?
please control the name of the database-table (the prefix etc.)
then check with PHPAdmin whether the tables contain any old images
look into the table "PIXELPOST" or "prefix_pixelpost"
are there any entries?
if not, your hoster just deleted your database-files or moved you to another database and did not move the tables ... there are many reasons
first make sure whether the table contains any items or not

I'm going to check with my host about looking into the tables tonight.
However, I've logged into my admin section on a computer that I've never used before, and confirmed that ALL of my images show up in the admin section, but ONLY the one image that I added today actually shows up on the index file of the site, as well as the browse section. Again, if you actually type out the full address to a file, you can find it. For instance, http://www.justingaynor.com/index.php?showimage=7 works, but if you go to http://www.justingaynor.com/index.php you can't navigate to that photo in any way.
Also I have not messed with the pixelpost.php file.
Thanks again for your help so far.

Also, when i go into the "images" section in my admin, the image i added today shows up at the END of the list of images, as if it was the first one added?

I just talked to my webhost and confirmed that the table "pixelpost_pixelpost" has 32 entries, and everything with it looks fine.

After making that last post I started thinking about why it would show up last, and according to the software the picture I uploaded today was uploaded in the year 2000! I contacted my host, and the date had gotten messed up on the server, so according to the server, all those other posts were set to be posted in the future. All is well, my posts are back online :) Thanks for all the help!

As I supposed, something at the host changed...
I am glad that it is working now again, and I understand again that sometimes solutions are not easy, you must expect the unexpected...
so I learnt from that that if a similar situation happens it is worth checking the date of the images in the table or in the admin section...
tell your hoster that because of that mistake you should at least get one month free or he should support PixelPost in some way
