View Full Version : Thumbnails from a special "Categorie"

There ist something, that seems to be little bit weird to me. Perhaps somebody can explain.
[My Pixelpost] (http://www.yesido.de/fotolog/index.php)
For example : I choose the categorie "Blumen" (Flowers). Pixelpost browses all pictures in this categorie. So far so good. But when I click the first red rose, the thumbnail-row on the next page shows me thumbnails from the categorie "technic" too.
I think this could be confusingly for the visitors of my page. Can somebody tell me if it's possible to modify that ?

could it be that some images have 2 categories?
You do not show the category info with the images, so I cannot really check it

Hello Connie,
I've checked all my images. They're all in one category only. Technic - Flower or calendar. But it seems to be only a problem with the images in the categorie "Flowers". All "Technic" images are browsed correct. There are no images from Flowers or calendar listed in the thumbnail-row.
*Hm*, when I upload the photos for the first time, I remember, that I've had made some mistakes by chosen the wrong categorie. When I 've noted that, I 've used the edit function an put the image in the right categorie.
But this couldn't be the reason or what do you think ?
That the informations from the category-info is not shown must be defined in the light_white template. I think, I don't change that. I'll look for the PP tag and try to insert that.
Without any special addon/hack there cant be like you want. Pixelpos by default shows all thumbnails in order in which their dates are set. There is no split by categorie.

I will look if there is a addon for this, but I don't think so.
Pixelpost is a very young software, full of possibilities for the future. I would like to help you to develop some things, but I can't. I'm sorry. I have to learn more about PHP at first, but until I can make my first addons, scripts or whatever, it will take some time. So I hope that in the meantime some other good and interested persons will be found to do that ... that would be great.
Thanks for your answers.
IMHO If your ideas be suitable for other (more advanced with PHP) users they will write it for themselves, you and rest of PP community :D
