"Empty Referrers-List completely" Not Working

I just updated (following the intructions in "pixelpost_1.4.2 > doc > ReadMe_upgrade.txt") from 1.4.1 to 1.4.2

The directions recommend using the "clean referrers" and "clean comments" tools after updating. I did this but after looking at my blog I still see the inordinate amount of "visitors" indicated that is the product of referrer spam.

I went back to the "add-ons" section of the admin pages and this time pressed the "Empty Referrers-List completely" button. Still no dice. All of the "visitors" are still there. How do I get rid of them if these "add-ons" cannot be made to operate correctly?

In addition (related?) the admin page still says that I am running 1.4.1

Am I missing a key file then? I followed the directions in the docs folder to the letter during the update. Is there a file that is left out of the directions that I should transfer over?

Ok now It says I am running 1.4.2 but I am still getting a high visitor count when i thought that emptying the referrer list would eliminate all visitors and start at zero.

I dont think so. Try to empty visitors table manualy.
