What about a competition (to celebrate the new version?) that some people or one person get their photos on the demo blog on the PP site.

Would mean exposure for them I suppose....?

what kind of comp do you have in mind? like a themed photo comp? or just best photo any content gets picked ect?

I tend to prefer some kind of guidelines. I'm not a very experienced photographer so perhaps some guidelines will help me focus a little.

Also, how many images should there be total in the demo? Should there be a 'winner' in several themes/categories? That way there's a variety of types of imagery.

Alright so we have the subject for the competition, does anyone have a place we can upload pictures to? I think a small page with something coded for uploading to it is the only way to go, with only one entry per person, I don't want to have to visit every persons blog in order to see the pictures. If we have some room on the pixelpost server it would probably work best. So I figure rather than discussing it any longer, because its obvious that people want to do it, lets get it done. Give it a two week deadline with a one week voting period afterwards, and lets get out there and take some pictures.

I also think that it should be set up so that the picture is done in between the time line, to be verified by the exif data on the picture.

once the 1.5 demo is installed alfter the beta is released and publicaly bug tested, we'll start the comp, as of now...just think up ideas, it will be close to the theme i mentioned before
