paged_archive.php not working... and i don't know why

so i finally hit over 105 pictures (my archive page limit) and now i have a page 2 of my archive but all of my pictures (110 now) are displayed on both pages.

i played around with the settings, changed the value of maxpthumb to 10, 20, etc. and i get the correct number of pages (e.g. 110/10 = 11 pages) but each page i click on gives me all 110 images. obviously i want to break it down.

my blog is in my sig; the archive is set to 105 right now. how do i fix this?

yes, i set it to 105. but if i do 20 pictures per page, i'll see 6 pages (111/20 is 5+) ... although all 6 pages will be identical, showing the same thumbnails. that's my problem. how do i get them to display the thumbnails correctly?

one more thing i should add: when i click "update" in the addons/admin control panel for the paged_archive, it goes to

http://mysite/index.php?x=maxpthumb

and it's a blank page. when i go back to the addons page, the change is reflected. still, it should auto-refresh to the page instead of giving me a blank page.

i mention this because it may have something to do with it. i don't know, however.

Did you try to reupload all files in ASCII mode by FTP??

yes, i did upload as ascii.

i have extra_exif.php, calendar.php, and random_image.php as addons. don't think i have anything else other than that besides what's built into the program.

i will play around with it, i guess, by removing the addons. if it lies in one of the addons, then it solves my problem and i'll post here with results.

okay, i disabled all addons except paged_archive.php and i got rid of the blank page problem, but it still does not correctly divide the images on a per-page basis. that's really the issue i'm trying to resolve here. please help. thank you.

Do you have PP 1.4.2?? Do you have last version of this addon?? If not make update!!

i have pp 1.4.2 and paged_archive 1.0. i think those are the most current versions.
