No cookie on admin login

I am having a problem logging into my pixelpost site (http://complicatedspace.com/gallery/admin/) as admin, as no cookie is set. I looked through the forum for suggestions, and have tried a few things:

I tried to connect from different remote machines.
I have made the mod to fix the password recovery work, so I know I have the right password, plus it doesn't say "Username or password incorrect".
I have verified that no cookie in sent with IE 6, FireFox 1.0.6 or Opera 8.5 by setting my browser to ask me everytime a cooke is sent.
I even tried changing the login code to use a session.

Any ideas?

BTW forgot to mention my host is running Apache 1.3.33 with PHP 4.3.10 and MySQL 4.0.25. I uploaded a phpinfo (http://complicatedspace.com/gallery/phpinfo.php) in case you need more host information.

have you tried a complete reinstall? like wipe it from the server and do it all over again, download a new copy to just to cover every angle...

i cant explain it, but im not that smart either. Something went wrong with your download/install or you server doesnt support something

No, I haven't tried a fresh install because the same code is running perfectly on my home server, which is very similar setup, but has slightly different versions (Apache 2.0.52, PHP 5.0.3, MySQL 4.1.7).

Before I take the time to backup my existing gallery, I'll going to try a second install of PP to my host to see if the problem still exists. BTW my host is 1and1 so I have a hard time believing it is a host configuration problem that someone else hasn't encountered prior to now.

So when is the release of 1.5 anyway?

Okay, I figured it out. While I was editing the admin/index.php for utoks image resize mod, the file somehow was saved in Unicode format. Once I changed this, the cookies are being set correctly, and all is working again! :)

hey i think i am having a similar problem. installed this for the first time, and i get past the installation, but when i get to the login page i enter my username and password. but the page just stays the same, i dont get any errors. It sets a cookie and the page refreshes, but nothing new shows up.


any help would be appreciated.
