This is an OK shot. Technically, I don't really see anything wrong with it: good details, good contrast, and good colors. However, I don't really dig the composition. It is too centered and doesn't really do it for me.

Also, the shot seems to be sorta in that middle range where it's just not quite close enough to get some great detail in the subject, and it's not quite far enough to get some context.

I tend to agree with joe, however, the one thing I do like is the texture in the catepillar and the background (dashboard)... how they're very similar. I find that very interesting.
