Hi ...

I want to make my pixelpost photoblog my main website.

I currently own my own domain, but am having trouble trying to figure out how to configure the site so that users can type the domain and go directly to the site without having to go the subdomain /pixelpost/.

Anyone have that domain path issue too?

Thanks in advance,

Just install in the root of your site instead of /pixelpost.

If you already have it installed and don't want to move you can add this in your .htaccess file:

Redirect /oldfile.html http://www.yoursite/newfile.html

Andrew,

if you install it into the rootdirectory of your domain, it will work

but you must be aware of one thing:

the main file of PixelPost is index.php

so, if you have any other index-files in your root-directory, for example ndex.htm or index.html index.php will not be loaded automatically in most cases
so you must rename these other files or delete these files, then index.php will show up automatically ...

good luck, show us your photos!;-)

Andrew,

very nice pictures, but I think the files are too big, 300 KB or even 444KB...
that will give a lot of load for people with standard modems, no ADLS or DSL...

give me these blueberries, please ;=)

I am having the same problem, I have already installed.

How Do I uninstall and then put it in the root directory?

tyr to make your file sizes a little smaller, 300 + kb is a lot
