hi folks,

first of all thank you so much for setting the whole PP-thing up, i just love it :-)
One problem: When i upload a shot, PP automatically starts resizing it to a smaller size. My pictures aren't too big originally, and i just want them in PP the way they are (because the resizing really is crappy and quality is very important for me).

When reading the board i read about the problems of others, that really want this resizing thing, and i just want to get rid of it, so i guess i will get mixed reactions :-)

So, how can i put the resizing off?

thanks in advance,
Dada

that's nothing at all to do with pp - pixelpost does NOT touch your image size, quality or filesize... only when creating thumbnails.

give us a link and we might be able to spot your problem.

thx already for your answers. you can find the blog here:

http://blog.resten.de/

The original image is a little bigger (http://www.deviantart.com/view/24919239/). When cropping, ugly artifacts appear (on her knee,... the lines of the cart)...

i am 100% sure that the image i uploaded was bigger in size, as you can see when you compare the 2 links. i just clicked "save as" and uploaded the shot in PP.

hope you can help me :-)

Your photo on PP is OK. Your template tell browser to make it smaller.

Oryginal width on your server is 657px and your template doesnt handle it coz you resize all images in it to 550px. Here is point where do you have from this artifacts.

PS Change code in template and try to use PP tags for width and height of file ;D

ah, alright, i see... then i just have to increase the table width to make it fit the image? I used a downloaded template, guess that was the problem. Where can i find info about the PP-tags i need to use?

all pp tags are listed in your /doc folder.

use <IMAGE_WIDTH> to incluide in your image tag.
