Displaying past posts on the same page as the current post

hi everyone,

several queries here about templates,

firstly, how is it possible to display images and notes of previous posts on the same page as the current post? like in the case of a normal blog?

for instance,

also, how can i display thumbnails of the past 5 posts, but in the vertical lines?

for instance,

thumbnail1
thumbnail2
thumbnail3

instead of

thumbnail1,thumbnail2,thumbnail3

1. Pixelpost is photoblog - one photo per page.

2. You can put PP's tag <IMAGE_THUMBNAIL_ROW> into some narrow layer (<div> tag).
