Mother and baby shot

First one I've put up here for a critique. I'd be interested to know what you think of this. A friend whose wife gave birth around a week ago asked me to take some baby shots so I've done a normal set of snaps for them to email to their family. But I was pleased with this one so gave it a monochromatic treatment.

Thanks Connie - I guess they've had nine months to get to know each other - just not face to face :)
