i just started my fotoblog (http://www.ctfoto.com/blog/), and i'm
having a blast tweaking and experimenting. i'm learning slowly. but
surely.
so, that's all fine and dandy, but i've been working on my portfolio
website with PhotoShop and ImageReady for weeks now - i'm no code
writer in ANY sense (i know photoshop and that's about it), and i'm
just not getting anywhere fast.
i say screw the WYSIWYG... i wonder if there's a PixelPost template out
there that works like a portfolio/gallery type site. you can see my
rough photoshop design, kinda what i'd like this site to look like here
: http://ctfoto.com/holder/
i'd like it to act like this: the images on the left of the screen
would scroll, while the title info remains. when you click the image or
the 'more' prompt at the end of the teaser text, you'd be directed to
that folder of images, and they'd now scroll in the same spot on the
left, with one big block of text beside the scrolling thumbnails (where
the small teaser blocks of text were in the index page) - the big block
of text won't move. a click on the thumb would of course open a big
picture, perhaps in a new window(?)...
anyway, sorry to run on... what do you think? is this something i can
pull off with code? me and my CSS for Dummies book? (and maybe an
existing template...?)
thanks for taking the time...
cheers,
ct
*i also posted this on photoblogs.com's discussion - i hope that's not bad form...:o
