My old path for pixepost was: webnigma.com/pixel

I tried to create a subdomain (blog.webnigma.com) pointing to this, and it didn't work.. I emailed my host and they renamed 'pixel' to 'blog'.

It looks like it's working, but I wanted to see if anyone else could foresee any problems with the directory name change. Like... are there any pages I need to go in manually to edit new paths?

The only thing I noticed wrong, was when I click on a posted image, it takes me to a different post.

I did go into the admin, and change the paths there... Anything else? And any idea why when I click on a photo, it takes me to another post?

when you click on an image, it takes you to the next post, you can remove this in the image_template.html file in the correct template directory...not all templates do this, but it's pretty common with photoblogs, i personally wouldnt have it any other way

chanign the name of the directory pixelpost lies in is normal...it's what is inside that directory that is important really

Ok thanks... You made a great point.

Appeciate the feedback... It's working fine with no troubles. Now I can start filling it with millions of photos of my kids.. :P

i moved mine to another directory just a couple of days ago.
all you need to do is change the directory in the options screen.
the only problems i have had were due to search engine rankings and so on, but i now have my .htaccess file redirecting requests from the old folder, hooray!

Thanks b(l)ob... :)

I'm not interested in Google or anything, because it's family... Oh, I'm a webdesigner by trade and Google is a staple for my business. If you are concerned with rankings, have you checked Googles sitemaps? It's free and easy and really makes a difference...

My .htaccess redirect passes a 301, so google will adapt.
Haven't bothered with sitemaps, it's worth considering though..
