Hey there,
getting this issue when uploading a photo:

Warning: imagejpeg(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/.delores/ariehsinger/ariehsinger.com/Pixelpost/includes/functions.php on line 92

Warning: chmod(): No such file or directory in /home/.delores/ariehsinger/ariehsinger.com/Pixelpost/includes/functions.php on line 94

I am using the dreamhost servers, and haven't had any issues setting up the SQL database for my gallery2. Comments and discriptions are uploaded, but the image doesn't go up. I have made all the permissions '777' and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers!

your paths are wrong
make them relative:
../images

gustiferjones

I give up - 3 days trying to get this to work. Got it working within 15 minutes when uploaded to my school site, but on dreamhost I've thrown in the towel and deleted.

Such a shame, I was looking forward to using pixelpost.

this is what general options spat back at me before the deletion.

Yes I did, I've been reading this forum and the dreamhost forum for 2 days. Tried everything - even changing to php5 and the errors remain.

I've just uploaded everything again, figured I give it another go, but same problems.

I'm currently In the middle of exchanging emails with a tech from dreamhost. If he comes up with a solution that works for me, I'll post back.

thanks.

cariad: have you tried making your imagepath 'relative'?

ie, changing your configured imagepath to ../images/

?

Tried everything Joe, nothing worked. I didn't do anything different on this install than I did on the installation that actually worked - only difference was the one with errors is on dreamhost, and the one that worked first time was on cclhosting.

Dreamhost are still looking into it.

we had postings / problems with dreamhost, because of their security restrictions and I know that many people moved from that host to other hosts because of that

I can't see it being a security issue. I have a wordpress blog, Gallery software and setup a forum for my son all running on the same domain.

We'll see. I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

From dreamhost tech:

On the 'Options' page for IMAGES PATH, there was a space in front of
/home/timacoly/timacoly.com/images/ path. I removed the space and
General Info does not yell anymore.

Although on the info I pasted ealier yesterday, I don't see an unwanted space. That one fluff up caused all the other errors?

I'm up and running :)

Thanks.
