Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO) in /home/ayhpixco/public_html/includes/functions.php on line 163
Error: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)
This is the error mesage when I try the final step of admin/index.php

I have the correct password in the aspect that needs to rflect the database password.

Any ideas?

If you have root, then i'm guessing it's your own server.
Be aware that your mysql password is not always the same as the system password.
The issue is definitely that the info you've supplied in includes/pixelpost.php is not accurate.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, this is quite frustrating. As per your correct post, I am root. When I set up the database I use a different password than my web admin password. However, the password in the change filed is correct in matching the one I created at the database.

Here is my new error message

As far as I can see there should be no reason for this not to be working.....

paste the information in your includes/pixelpost.php file please
but asterisk out your username and password!

Thanks for the replys. After 4 calls to tech support and about 6 hours of different configs. I decided I had had enough, I knew I was doing EVERYTING right. So I tried a differnt host, did EVERYTHING the same......And it worked fiirst time.

Talk about pissed off!!!! Anyway, thanks for the help.
