I have a modified index.php (thanks to my brother) which enables the turnaround if the first picture available in the blog ist reached. Clicking on this photo redirects to the latest picture in the blog. Clicking forward on the latest picture redirects to the oldest picture in the blog.

Nice.
Though bear in mind that in posts like this, it's often a good idea to specifically outline the changes made. Given that there are severe security implications of using a PHP file in your install that someone else has made, for the sake of trust a few quick notes are worthwhile :)
Good job though!
PS.
These changes look nice and clean, i always encourage use of addons rather than hacks, but if this one is necessary for you - go for it!

Hi,
i followed (or at least my brother did the coding for me, thanks to him) your idea and modified the wraparound hack to an addon, so no problems will be happen with the patched index.php. For this reason i take the modified index.php from my webspace an replace it with the addon (for details see the addon-section).
