Upgraded from 1.4 to 1.5b with little to no problems (other than the calendar issue which was mentioned in the 'bug' thread).
However, I do have one question. I made a copy of my 'template' directory prior to the upgrade.... After the upgrade, I simply deleted everything in the directory and replaced with my old version.
Is there any consequences for doing this? Things look fine, but didn't know if the templates would change enough to comprimise the new version of pixelpost.
Good job all on 1.5!

i for one wouldn't knowingly "cripple" old templates like that.
we'll add features, and we'll change the way things work, but we won't often remove them.
i can't say for 100% certain that you won't have any problems, the only tag i can think of that's been stripped is the referrers tag, but you knew that.
if you think about it though, deleting the new templates folder is not going to cause major problems, because if it went wrong you could just download pixelpost and upload the folder again ;)

well, the new templates contain 2 new tags in the header for Blog - Autodetection which will generate the whole link-tag
+ the templates contain "powered by PixelPost 1.5Beta" so we have not so big changes there, I think you can stay with the "old" template
I am glad PP 1.5 B is good, that you appreciate it!

Good points... I think I was just lazy and didn't feel like dealing with the customization again (because I use the simple template).
When I have more time, I'll do it the right way and get it up and running.

I moved my template across, as will 90% of people upgrading. There's absolutely no problem with doing it this way!

Thanks... Like I said.. I've had ZERO problems with 1.5 and I've been putting it through the grinder. Other than the whole simple template/calendar issue... it's been great... Nice job PP team!

Oh.. I did want to make a quick comment! I LOVE the new feature of posting using the EXIF data.. BRILLIANT!
And a question... what is the 'ping' for? I know what a ping does, but what is it's purpose for posting?

Ah... very cool indeed. Since I don't care about indexing or anything; I'll probably remove those entries. Thanks. But, very cool for you hardcore bloggers!
