When I set up Movable Type a long time ago I did it without using a database. I've since upgraded Movable Type and now I'm using version 3.15. I badly want to switch to pixelpost but I don't think I'm willing to repost every image for the past year or simply lose all of my previous images. I tried using the MT import addon but obviously, I don't have MT setup with a database so it won't work. Is there any way to import MT entries that aren't in a database?

first check if there is a Movable Type tool or utility to import your entries into MT Database
after that step it will be very easy to import that into PP

you will understand that this is not something in our main focus and your problem is so rare that probably the solution lies at Movable Type site

we have some Addons, but for sure they do focus on standard import ..

do you know at least the format which non-database-MT-entries have?
Is there no export function in MT admin section with different formats?
Maybe CVS, maybe SQL?

if so maybe somebody here can help you, but it is no standard solution and no standard addon..

good luck!

I think you can convert MT enteries from file to DB smoothly. check MT documentations. look for import.

Well I managed to re-setup MT with a MySQL Database, so I entered all the information into the import MT entries addon in PixelPost, but absolutely nothing happens when I click import. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what I need to put in the "Wordpres image path on server" field. Right now I have the full path to my archives folder where all the images are stored (/homepages/4/d93267838/htdocs/somethingrandom/archives/) Help!

the word "Wordpress" should be "MT" :)
