Changing servers

Hey everybody! I have recently had to change the server that my site is hosted on, and unfortunately I (incorrectly) thought I could just upload all my stuff as is onto the new server and everything would work ok. I changed the info in pixelpost.php file to match my new mysql files, and the script/program is working, but .... It's not recognizing my photos, thumbnails, nothing! It's like it's a brand new blog, and all of my categories are gone, and it doesn't see my photos in my images folder. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Please don't tell me that I have to reinsert all of my photos one by one again! :rolleyes:

did you make a backup of the database at the old server before you left that server?

did you restore the database information at the new server?

because all info on postings, categories, titles etc. are in the database, which is the glue of the whole thing

Unfortunately, the new server wouldn't take the backup, because yes, I did. :( I am so bummed about this, I can see myself taking the weekend to fix this!

In this (http://forum.pixelpost.org/showthread.php?t=3062) thread I explain how I always make a backup of my database with phpmyadmin.
Maybe helpfull? Or is the old DB already gone? :(
