I have resolved the problem of configuration, but if I install the wordpress plugin oh my blog I see this error message
"Error: pixelpost.php is not accessable. Error in PixelPost_local_address=../. "
my blog is http://johnnybravo.te.net
my pixelpost is http://johnnybravo.6te.net/photoblog
Where is my error?
Thank you so much,

have you defined the pixelpost address in your plugin? it should be ../photoblog/ for you.

I've corrected, bur the error remains the same... :(

use photoblog/ instead of ../photoblog/
hehe... I liked johnny bravo's cartoons! ;)

did you change anything in the plugin? which version of plugin you are using?
01-11-2006, 08:47 AM
Oh! you don't have thubmnails to show!! that's the problem now! check you PP admin panel >> General infor. search for the section about GD lib copy paste the information there. It should be GD Lib with JPEG support. if it's not there or it's not exactly as I mentioned, that means you don't have GD lib with JPEG support on your host. Then you should ask your host admin to do that for you.
Another cause might be CHMOD 777 of thumbnails folder. do you have thumbnails folder? did you chmod 777 it (read/write/execute permission to the folder). if not do so!

This is what I read...:
PHP-version 4.4.1 (Pixelpost's min requirement: PHP version 4.3.0)
MySQL version 4.0.26-standard (Pixelpost's min requirement: MySQL 3.23.58)
GD-lib bundled (2.0.28 compatible) with JPEG support
EXIF Pixelpost is using exifer v1.5 for EXIF information.
Guessed imagepath: /var/www/html/photoblog/images/
Configured Imagepath ../images/
Image Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES.
Thumbnails Directory: OK - Can we write to the directory? YES.
Language Directory: OK
Addons Directory: OK
Includes Directory: OK
Templates Directory: OK
I'm going crazy... It seems to be ok, but why I cannot see the photo in my blog??? :(

I don't Know... it is a mistery... and I am in dispair... :(

what is your hoster?
let us try to find out which hardware, software configuration your hoster has
I found this doing a whois-quest:
Registration Service Provided By: NameCheap.com
Domain name: 6te.net
Free Web Hosting Organization
Orgfree FWHO (email@example.com)/QUOTE]
we have the experience, that some free-hosting services do not offer the whole spectrum which is needed for running real webserver applications (and PP for sure is one!)
I will continue my quest

you don't see thumbnails 'cause you don't have one!
first PP should be able to create thumbs.
01-11-2006, 06:46 PM
But PP works! http://johnnybravo.6te.net/photoblog is fully functional... The problem is the thumbnail...
Why PP canno create thumbnails? The thumbnail folder in chmoded 777...
6te.net gives me web hosting... and there are all the functions like a traditional domain... :(
Please help me... Thank you...

try uploading something new.

well, this free hosting is the problem, I think
I installed PP there as well, I can open PP admin, I can install it
I can upload image
thumbnail is created
but the main page does not show up at all, no content
only this in source code:<!-- OrgFree.com -->
<!-- Free Web Hosting at http://www.orgfree.com -->
so I would not stay with that hoster for free and have all kind of difficulties, webspace is very cheap today...
and we cannot give support for freehosting-restrictions etc.
I already spent 0.5 hours on installing just to find out...
