Hi all. Has anyone had issues with thumbnails working from a MAC / Firefox client? Makes no sense to me. 12CropImage or regular don't seem to be working. But. The weird part is that everything works fine from firefox on a windows box.

it's not related to MAC. we have many MAC users.
copy paste information in the admin panel >> general info page here. we will try to diagnose

Here is the info requested. When I create a new entry all is fine and the image uploads. Then when you go to crop the thumb the region is about 1 or two pixels high and goes way off the screen to the right. Clicking the - button has no effect. The werid part is that from a different computer there are no issues. This MAC is running Firefox 1.5. I will try a new entry with Safari and will update if it performs different.
Thanks
Roger

it might just be a problem with the java environment installed on your mac.
also if you upgrade to pixelpost 1.5x then you can try using this addon:http://forum.pixelpost.org/showthread.php?t=2935
which just replaces 12crop with flash.

I will try to download ie and see if it helps for this task. Is 1.5 fairly stable? I have not planned up upgrading for a while. I installed it today but only have a couple of pictures in it. Just didn't want to upgrade until it's pretty solid.

Very strange. IE, Safari and Firefox all behace the same way. Seems strange that the local OS would impact that. Is it a javascript issue?

i'm using 1.5. actually it's more stable than 1.4.3 ;)
btw, it's a jscript issue.

I got it! It was actually not a jscript error. There was a short between my chair and keyboard. I just got this mac and it's been a while since I have used macs. The issue was when saving the photo to post the mac was not putting a extension on the file. I was not paying attention. The strange part is the file will post and work but the thumbnail fails. Anyway. As long as there is a extension on the file all is good.
Thanks for the assistance.
