Simple Template -light isn't loading

My site won't display the light version of the Simple template, only the dark. Any idea why?

I still need help with this. If no one has a sense of why this might be happening, could you please tell me how to reinstall Pixelpost? I saw that advice a number of times on the forums. Do I simply upload the files and overwrite the ones on the server? What about changes I have made, like the About file....?

i have never seen the advice to restart a pixelpost blog when a template goes wrong! that's just stupid advice and I advise you to ignore it.

if you are having problems with the simple template then i assume you are using internet explorer and you have quotations in your image description/title - quotations seem to muck up IE's handling of cookies.

Anyhow... to fix this either remove the styleswitcher script from your simple template or just upgrade to 1.5 beta in which this problem is solved ;)

LOL, I just sat down to report (with considerable pride) that I figured it out myself. Yup, the quote marks in my image description knocked out IE.

Thanks. Phew. Constantly reinstalling Pixelpost struck me as somewhat draconian, not to mention unfit for prime time.

How far along is 1.5? I'm not afraid of beta per se - heck, I'm so skill-less my mistakes may well help in QA. Is there a simple way to upgrade?

it's very simple to upgrade.

as it's in first stage of beta there are still bugs to iron out but nothing major so far - in fact, probably less bugs than 1.4x
