default category shows up twice

For some reason my default category (which I labeled "All") is showing up twice in my list of categories. I can't delete one, since they both appear to be the default. Any ideas? Here's how it looks: http://laurie.ktandcp.com/pixelpost/index.php?x=browse

Reason of it is simple - first All means all photos and second one is your default category ;)

Hmmm...I'm still confused. I would like to keep just one of these 2 "All" categories, but I don't get an option to delete either one. I understand why I can't delete the default category (renamed to "All"), but it seems like I should be able to delete the duplicate.

You are be able to delete category called All without any problem.

that's bizarre - are any other categories missing?

oh. i think i realise what you're doing - the first 'all' link is default - it just didn't expect you to have another category with 'all' in - basically it's done it for you already and you're just repeating what it's already done. there's no need for a category to be assigned to all images.

So the system is set up to have both a default category that lists all your images, plus another category called "All" that also lists all your images?

I renamed the second All to "Everything," but neither that, nor the default labelled All, show up in my delete list. I'd really like to delete one - is this possible?

If you renamed one it means that also you must be able to delete it!!!

why do you assume you have to apply the default category to every image? mine is for portraits only - then 'all' is also listed on my browse page. you can't delete 'all' because it isn't a catgeory - it is a link to display all categories. and you can't delete the default category for another reason but this shouldn't be a problem as you do no have to apply it to all your images.

don't think of 'all' as a category - it's really just a link to display all images whatever category they are under. the default category cannot be deleted BUT it can be renamed to anything you like and hey, you don't even have to apply it as a category to any of your images if you don't want to! but you might as well if you're using categories.
