Hello,
I have installed pixelpost on a server, and everything appeared to work properly in the installation. I have noticed no troubles. However, when I try to log in to the admin area to start building the gallery, the good times end.
I type in the username and password I created, and the page processes and returns exactly like it was before I logged in. So, it still says "Welcome to PixelPost Admin - You need to log in. Your PixelPost-PhotoBlog: pixelpost". And then, of course, below that it says "Login sets a cookie."
Any ideas? Thanks so much.

Do you have enabled cookies??
Does your server stores at your computer any cookie??
Do you use any proxy or any other such thing??
Which version of PP do you use??

Well, I have enabled cookies, as far as I know my server does store cookies and does not use a proxy, and I'm using PP version 1.4.3. I just downloaded it a week or so ago.
I have tried it on multiple computers, and have varied the cookie settings on Internet Explorer from Medium to Low, which as you probably know allows all cookies. Thanks for being willing to help.
Check if your server have PHP sessions enabled?

try clearing your cache/cookies - i remember this helped a few people upgrading. hope that's useful.
Joe[y] shows one more possibility - PP 1.5beta have new philosophy of storage data in cookies (IMHO more secure).

I tried clearing my cache and cookies, and still have the same results.
Am I understanding that I should try upgrading to the PP 1.5beta instead of using 1.4.3?

when you use Internet Explorer, it is not enough to clear the cache from within the browser, there is a folder at your system too, which could be cleaned...
if you upgrade to 1.5 BETA, yes, you will have a better password retrieval option..

I had the same problem after my upgrade. I found this thread, then deleted my cookies in IE Options, and was ready to log back in.
Consider giving this pointer in the ReadMe.txt when 1.5 goes gold.
