Hi all!
Just start using pixelpost yesterday so I thought I'd share the only 3 pictures I have up on my site so far. All advice and criticism is welcome (although I might sulk).

Thanks!
All three shots are interesting - I like the reflection of the houses, great subject. The colors are beautiful. Really nicely done.
Also really like the 'march' one - another very interesting subject and your approach to it works.
The log one is cool and I take a lot of photos like that... your shot suffers from the same thing that trips up a lot of mine - a very narrow focus and it seems to almost be wavering a bit. Widening the aperture would definitely help pulling more of the image into focus.
Website... I thought it was weird at first that you didn't have any notes on the photos (which some people prefer not to describe anything - art for arts sake... nothing wrong with that) - but then I noticed the comments link and found your descriptions. Nothing really wrong - it just wasn't obvious to me that you'd typed any descriptions. Especially 'blue north' was odd since it said comments(0). :-)
I also love seeing the exif info because I can learn a bit about how a shot works or doesn't work by the settings.

Hi jkn,
Thanks for checking out the pics and the reply. Always nice to know that someone has seen the pictures.
With regard to the driftwood photo, I was actually aiming to have the background out of focus to exagerate the details in the wood, but maybe I was just being a bit too arty. Wish I had taken another of the same subject with the aperature open to compare.
I was looking around today and noticed that a lot of people had some EXIF data in their descriptions so I think I'll add some myself. I too find myself checking it just to see how it was all set up.
I kind of like having the page with the image as uncluttered as possible and hence the descriptions in the comments. I should probably have a hint somewhere on the page though that a description can be found there. No idea why the counter didn't count my entry!
So, thanks again for checking out the pics and please feel free to pop back again to see how they're progressing. I'll be sure to check out your blog again too...you've some great shots.
