I'd really like to make my photos more interesting and arty, so I've given the b&w soft-focus thing a go: http://www.davegifford.co.uk/index.php?showimage=50
What do you think & do you have tips for refining my technique?
I used Paint Shop Pro 9's built in tools, using a combination of dodge & burn, contrast enhancement, clarify, H/M/S, soft focus and colourise (to give a hint of sepia). The centre was left sharp by using layers and the eraser tool.
Do you use different filters? And have you benefited from any books / online tutorials, or simply learnt through trial and error?
Cheers,
David
