the front page shows the images order by date time, and shows all the categories.

Is there an addon that can show the images in a certain category?

for example, just shows all the images in "default" or "food" or "my_favorite" .

Thanks.

may be you should look at some photo gallery script rather than a photoblog script....

This feature of browings a the "category" images only should be a feature!

Why would someone say we should look elsewhere for some gallery software. take a look at FLICKR.COM. go to a category and you browse ONLY the images in that CATEGORY!

makes 200% sense

Please let me know when you get an addon together or someone else does if you see it.

many thanks.

From here http://wiki.photoblogs.org/wiki/Photoblog_vs_Gallery

Photoblogs and galleries both display images on the web. Because they share some similar attributes, they are often confused with each other, but there are certain characteristics that distinguish the two.

A gallery is basically just a collection of images. Often times galleries are sorted into different categories or albums to make the images easier to view. A gallery may have the images sorted by date or it may not. Having dates isn't required to be considered a gallery.

A photoblog, however, is a chronological log of photography. Each photo in the log has a date associated with it. When you're looking at any photo in a photoblog, you can generally navigate directly to the next older or next newer photo. Photoblogs also tend to have archives that allow you to view all the photos sorted by date. A photoblog might also have the photos sorted by category or it might not. Having categories isn't required to be considered a photoblog.

Why can't you use pixelpost as a gallery if you want? If you have the addons.

Of course everyone is free to use and modify free software as they want and this should be encouraged as well - my only contention in pointing out the differences between a photoblog and a photo gallery was that at least for now Pixel Post positions itself as a no nonsens Photoblog and it does that admiringly well... I would in fact be willing to say that being a *photoblog* is PP's USP
