Hi All,

I am currently trying to install pixelpost_1-5_beta1 onto my providers server but to no avail ..
I can access the homepage which tells me to complete the installation. I have read the readme and made sure the minimum requirements are fullfilled. my provider is using IIS and MySQL 5.0.17 and PHP5. I have a database and the acces to add tables. I edited the pixelpost.php file to contain my user and pass to access the database. I upped the files and created the directories, images and thumbnails. When I go the the /admin/install.php this is what I get. I searched the forums here to find out what it could be, but I didn't find anything relevent.

here's the error I'm getting on the page in firefox:

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in d:\Inetpub\www.inthebeat.com\Pub\Web\pixelpost-1.5\includes\functions.php on line 228

Notice: Undefined variable: admin_lang_file_name in d:\Inetpub\www.inthebeat.com\Pub\Web\pixelpost-1.5\admin\index.php on line 69

Thanks in advance for the help.

At first turn off warnings display (error_reporting(0)). It should move you one step forward in installation process.

PLUS:
read this thread

ok I just re-upped the distribution and made sure all the files were there. I double checked and all files are in my pixelpost folder in my public web folder. Still unable to display index.php in /install folder, I get the same error as above.

I then went ahead and edited the index.php and added

error_reporting(0)

Now I get this
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in d:\path\to\pixelpost\admin\index.php on line 37

Isn't the install script supposed to create de tables for me in the DB? This isn't even happening even though my pixelpost.php is correctly configured with all the info it needs to connect to my db.

1. It should be:
error_reporting(0);

2. Try to look on forum (search function) for topics saying about IIS issues coz we had some.

3. Other things are file rights - write permission, read permission and so on. Talk about it with your ISP.

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in d:\path\to\pixelpost\admin\index.php on line 37
means that you have modified index.php file in there is a typo inside the file. maybe this is caused by ftp uploading. upload again the original files.
