hi all.
i am building a google maps (geoposition location visualization) addon for pixelpost 1.5 and would like to have 10 people help beta test the plugin.
if you are interested, please contact me using the contact form at:
http://www.zinkwazi.com
You need to be somewhat web savvy and running pixelpost 1.5 beta to qualify.
thanks a lot.

you can preview an alpha version of the plugin here: http://www.zinkwazi.com/blog

Very nice idea. We (PP community) are waiting for its final release :)

PS Do you use some GPS module for positioning?

you would need to 1) enter the latitude and longitude where you took the photo. these can be aquired via maps.google.com or sites like geocode.com or, 2) buy a camera that supports gps.
i used #1 for all the images at http://www.zinkwazi.com/blog

That is extremely cool. Not much use, to me, unless I look up the coordinates, but extremely cool nevertheless.

I can see maybe using it in future; is there an option to not show the "Map this" button if an image does not have geocoordinates?

You might want to take a look at the geo microformat at http://microformats.org/wiki/

Nice addon...

I am always looking for a chance to connect GPS with photos..

my idea / whish is:

have GPS position and photo (Camera time must be synchronised with GPS device time ) and have GPS written into EXIF (if there are EXIF elements for GPS)

so a photo in PP can have a google earth kmz-file additionally

that's my scenario.... maybe it will be possible once..

greetings from Moscow, vodka is waiting!

Yes there are many types. All depends from what it is made, how many times it is distillated and many more (Im not so big professional as Connie).

Anyway Im planing to buy GPS navigator at this summer and I want to connect somehow both - photo and GPS data.
