1.5 beta 1 - slow?

can it be, that 1.5 beta1 is in a way slower than 1.43 ... or is it a webserverproblem ? site is http://pixel.ego-s.net, on the other hand a wordpress installation on the same server is quite fast.

All depends from server and addons which you use.

so, do i get this right: addons can make the site slower, just because they are installed (even though at a specific time point not in use) ... in other words ... are all installed addons at any given time in use, just by surfing to and opening of the index.php of pixelpost ?

The biggest slow down you can get by admin_ping.php (which can only slow down admin side - when posting new image) and additional addons which are based on content or working with outside world (outside servers).
Your server can have problems with MySQL server overload, general overload or with EXIF support.
As you can see there are many issues with which speed is connected.
