Hey now,
First time pixelpost user here. Got everything installed, and uploaded an image. No errors, everything appeared to go normally. Image shows up on my site, but no thumbnails are created. Again, I don't get any errors during the upload. I checked my thumbnails directory, and it is empty. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

i don't know if this is the solution but you might want to check :
MySQL version 3.23.54 (Pixelpost's min requirement: MySQL 3.23.58)
Try to turn off admin_ping.php addon before next upload and check if it helps to you.

I'm pretty sure I don't have this enabled/installed. At this time, I don't have my own access to my database (that's coming soon), but I looked at the ADDONS area of my pixelpost admin area, and I don't see admin_ping.php anywhere on there...
BTW, I think this may be an issue with my image path. I'm working with my host to see if that may be the problem...
Sorry, I didnt see that you have PP 1.4.3 so this admin_ping.php issue isnt important in this situation.
Try to set image path to ../images/

update: The host and I have verified that this is not a image path issue, and it is certainly not a permissions issue. He's got another site running that utilizes all of the jpeg functions of GD lib, so that's not the problem. If there are literally no errors being generated anywhere, what could be going on?
Did you try this solution with admin_ping.php addon?

again, I don't have that add on...
One more time sorry for me memory lost :P
Did you try to update to PP 1.5 BETA?

As seen below, I've upgraded to 1.5 beta, and thumbnails are still not being created. I have further proof that it's not a path issue...I manually created and uploaded a thumbnail for one of my posted image into the /thumbnails directory. Then I deleted the image using PP Admin, and it deleted the thumbnail without any problems. So, I know it's looking in the right place, but for some reason it's not creating the thumb to begin with. I've been following this thread (http://forum.pixelpost.org/showthread.php?t=3547), but I'm not sure what the last message is talking about. Where should I be making those changes? Is it possible I'm having the same issue as bernie?

you do not have jpg-support in your gd. you can add this yourself in php.ini or get your host to enable jpg support for you.

I was wondering about that, but...my host is the same guy/host who runs http://www.photographica.org and that site and mine are running the same gd. Auto-thumbs works over there, why wouldn't it work on my site?
Regardless of what I just wrote, I will double check with him again to make sure...
Maybe he doesnt use GD for thumbnails?
He even doesnt use Pixelpost so its hard to say where can be a problem.

yes. there are different ways of producing thumbnails. perhaps they are using imagemagick. either way you need gd with jpg-support.

You guys were, of course, right. We upgraded PHP and enabled JPG support and I am good to go! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
Its nice that all is working properly right now ;)
