Newbie: unexpected $ error

After I do the install of the tables, i click on the link that brings me to the index.php and it brings up this error. Does anyone know why that is?

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/destre00/public_html/blog/admin/options.php on line 295

What version are you trying to get installed?

It means that you had to upload modificated file or upload wasnt in ASCII mode.
Try one more time.

PS Anyway I suggest to install PP 1.5 BETA1 instead of PP 1.4.3.

yeah it wasn't in ASCII mode... question though... what do I all have to reupload in ASCI mode, everything??

Also, for upgrading to 1.5 BETA.. is there a lot of work or just uploading new files?

1. Try to set ftp upload method to auto.
2. For sure you must upload all scripts (PHP and JS) as ASCII.
3. It is enough to unpack all files from beta and send it to server (but remember to complete /includes/pixelpost.php with DB login data)
