random pic

I have a little problem. I don't know why but when i use the tag "IMAGE_PREVIOUS_ID" or NEXT... pixelpost don't show me the next or preview ID. it's a random one. I would like to have the real next or previous pic ID . so if i have the number 65, i would like the number 64 or 66.

it is not a random pic, it is a misunderstanding.
We had this question many times.

The numbers are id-numbers, and each photo which you upload get the next free id, if you delete that one, the next uploaded does not get that ID but a new one

that is traditional database behaviour and there are many reasons for it

the only way to have a long line of continuous numbers is not to delete any images after uploading..

"next" and "prev" refer to the next posted image and that is another thing than the index-number

sorry but i disagree connie. there is definetely something wrong in there. if you look in the archive there are 146 images. but when your browse backwards on the front page you find the id skipping 20 times or so (when in the archive you'll notice it doesn't skip ids anywhere near that often) so on the front page front to back seems to only display about 20 images.
