Error pic wont upload

hi there
Im new at pixelpost.
I just installed the latest version of PP without problems
the problems starts when im trying to uoload an image. I've searched for some eq. threads but couldnt find any.

To my problem
When i press the upload button a little red box appears below it in the middle
The text:
Error
Upload went without error.

The settings for image and thumbnails catalog is set as 777, at directory image ist empty the same goes for the thumbnails.

Ive been using FF and IE, get the same result.

Found out the problem but got a new one

Im trying to run PP on phatboy.domainname.com/PP
the usual addresses begin with www.domainname.com/PP
what should i do to fix this?

in your admin panel you'll need to ammend your site url and imagepath - i suggest simply changing the imagepath to ../images/
