Hi all,

I am thinking about making an alternate stylesheet for my pixelpost site, but wondering if it's going to work on my site.

I am currently using PNG files for the background image, and also for border edges. I use a div id to specify where the images go in the HTML, but the image path, width, height etc., is all contained in the stylesheet.

If I have two alternate stylesheets, and two different sets of PNG files for their respective sheets, on click will the styleswitcher javascript reload the new alternate PNG files, or do the cached ones simply remain?

I hope that's an understandable question?

Thanks a lot.

I would say: go on and test yourself!

we are no soothsayers!

why you just don't test with different browsers?

This is javascript and that might behave different in different browsers

a test takes 5 minutes, a question here takes more time and more people ;=(

lol @ connie - indeed the solution wouldnt only take a matter of a moment or two at most to test

but the answer, yes it can reload new images, totally alter a layout for that matter, so drastic they can load like two completely different sites...you can do very compex things with style switching and javascript these days...but to figure it out its all trial and error

I never got the switcher for the pixelpost light template working 100%, i used the most valid and modern code I knew...it works well, but not perfect for some...
