Hi!
well, the GD-lib, which is necessary for creating thumbnails, is not supporting JPG or is not installed at all
ask your hoster to update or install GD-lib at your webspace
GD-lib is a free library which we use to create thumbnails

which GD-version did you install?
if you have installed GD-version with full JPG-support, than there must be other reasons.
Is there a directory for thumbnails?
The correct settings? CHMOD 777 ???
