thought I use small size image file on pixelpost,it's a hard work to read them all if the photoblog havs images more than 300,500 or even 1000.
is it possible to read image subfolder? such as:
./images/200603
./images/200604
Thanks.

pixelpost doesnt currently support a sub-folder system, it's not really an application that is intended for 1000's of images right away, we're slowly improving the admin side of image organization as time goes on, but what is in the folders hasnt really been a concern since that is the whole point of the admin control panel

some users always take photo daily, and post ONE a day at least.
they also using pixelpost. and 365 photos a year. it will more than 1000 in three year.
I think it will be managed easier if we have subfolder.
Thanks.

I do not understand your argumentation at all.
Yes, there will be (hopefully) many interesting photos
but all photos get a timestamp and so there will be no file-name-conflicts
it is no problem for a webserver to deliver data from a directory with 100 files or from a directory with 10000 files at all
so why do you expect problems?
The software handles the file-management
the user can download his files for backup reasons, he should do so for sure, but then he will also get sorted filenames, separated by their filenames..
so I think having images in subfolders will only create more support problems, because all these possible folders must be chmodded to 777 ;=)
it's a hard work to read them all if
the presentation of the images is different from the storage of the files
so if you have a paged archive I see no problem
what are the real problems which you expect?

Connie, I mean manage them in my pc. maybe my pc needs upgrade;-)
even so, if the images become more and more, it's still a problem.
Thanks.
Turn off image preview in file exploder (under Win 2000/XP/2003/...) and it should work faster.
IMHO There is no big issue to complicate file storing system more then it is right now.

got it.
GeoS and Connie are the lighter.
haha.
Use a new Pixelpost-system every year and link them all together. So you have not more than 365 photo's in a blog.
