1.5 Mod Rewrite [Archive] - Pixelpost Forum

Just curious if anyone has had any luck withmod rewrite and version 1.5. I viewed the sticky topic and tried several things as suggested in the thread but didn't have any luck creating some nice urls.

Does anyone have a difinitive list of what needs to be changed?

I play with it quite nice from some time.

I use own addon for links under prev, current and next. I also hadrcoded some new URLs in all template files (i.e. for RSS and ATOM).
I have also a little modificated paged_archive.php addon which works from about a week with mod_rewrite usage.

http://photos.jlspurling.com is pretty much entirely done by mod-rewrite.

with links like: http://photos.jlspurling.com/archive/page/1/category/10

it's all fun! :D i did it all in .htaccess and i use 1.5. search this forum... you'll find a thread about doing this with. htaccess.

Thanks Guys. I've tried again and just not had any luck, Ive modified the 3 variable paths in index.php and am calling images with an absolute reference. Guess I need to keep trying different things.

First of all your server must have mod_rewrite enabled.

Yes of course and I use it successfully on other sites hosted on the same machine.

I'll have to revisit it in the future sometime.

Hi, I'm new but I learn fast :)
I've change some links already it seems to look that I've made some mistakes and It would be great if someone would share index.php with me.
My site is www.ndemi.com - it looks that links in menu works fine but the rest no. I still work on it. Please help.

PS Siekierkowski jest bardzo fajny do focenia - jako obiekt i jako miejscowka z widokiem. Jak cos, to slij PM - pomoge w miare mozliwosci :)
